End-of-year madness

It's been a hectic end to the year with too many late nights and ridiculous deadlines at work. Stress and fatigue have put paid to most weekend activities but this weekend we did pop down to Adelaide for the 2nd Ashes Test. Now bear in mind that this was all booked back in June when England were still ok at cricket and you might understand why I thought that this might be a good idea at the time. Obviously, as it turned out, it wasn't! At least Adelaide was nice and I had a pleasant trip despite equal doses of sun-burn and Aussie sportsmanship.

In the meantime, my mushrooms seem to have died off, the cat has a nasty infection, and the back yard contains a plague of Huntsman spiders. Only one massive week left though before Saturday when I head home to Scotland. I need a holiday!
