Whales, birds, deer

Kestrel

We've not been up to too much since we got back but we do get over to the coast most weekends to spot the whales. Yesterday we were watching the usual dolphins and the Humpback variety of whale jumping about when a huge light-coloured beast surfaced just offshore. Unbelievably it was a Blue Whale! Remarkable!

Red-capped Plover

Pacific Gull

Richard's Pipit

Native to Java, Bali and Timor the Rusa is a deer introduced to Australia back in the day. I'd never seen one before but apparently there are a few of them down in the Royal NP.

Good to see you are still getting out to the beach. You should make the most of it before you move west and never go again.
