We was robbed! (6th March '07)

Footie update: The last couple of weeks have been mixed on the football front. A good win against the Red Devils a couple of weeks back was followed up with a gutsy 2-2 draw against the top-of-the-table Kid Nuclear and his Victory Bunch. We came back from behind twice to snatch a point. Actually 2 points in this competition for a scoring draw! It all came undone in the rain last night though against the bottom-of-the-table Phillip Banks who hadn't managed a single point up until then.

Thats not the whole story though. With only 4 players available, we recruited Sneaky Pete as a rookie goalkeeper and went into the match with no subs. This should have been fine until the cheeky Phillip Banks turned up with only 3 players (a possible reason for their lowly league status!) and proceeded to recruit two lads from one of the first division sides who had just finished playing. Needless to say, these ringers were a tad tasty and despite notching my second goal of the season we went down. Our play-off spot is now in serious jeopardy and we need a good strong finish to the regular season in the next couple of weeks.
