Ku-Ring-Gai NP

It was ANZAC day on Wednesday which is a public holiday here and so everybody else was off work too. I took the chance to get some respite from the current madness and went for a walk with Jarrod in the Ku-Ring-Gai NP on the north edge of the city. Remarkably the rain stayed away for the day which made for a pleasant stroll.

There weren't many critters about as it was a bit cool but we did come across some sort of brown snake-like creature. Jarrod went to grab it but fortunately missed. "A legless lizard" he claims but I'm not sure how he managed to spot the ears or eye-lids to tell! Saying that, he does have the keenest eye-sight going and it's certainly more up to scratch than my one-eyed peering.

We were looking through Jarrod's photos from Allan and Gemma's wedding afterwards and he has managed to do what has rarely been done before and actually captured a decent picture of Emily and myself. It would be a shame not to share it and so here it is...!
