Bowerbirds

The rain just doesn't want to go away this year and the surgeon upheld the swimming ban when I saw him the other week so still not much going on I'm afraid. It's only two and a half weeks until I head over to Western Australia for Allan and Gemma's wedding though and so I've been planning the necessary route to get as many ticks as I can from a week-long visit. Exciting stuff.

Satin Bowerbird

In the meantime, here are a couple of female Satin Bowerbirds. The male was heard displaying in the neighbours' yard up in the Mountains at the weekend and I guess this may have attracted the dozen or so females to the garden. A bit of the chooks' porridge lured them out of the trees for a picture.

Yes you have been rather boring. Nonetheless you can make up for it by having the hudwit lined up for me when i land in Perth.
