Taffy's Rock
Super efficient blogging from Allan these days so our bush-walk in Ku-ring-gai NP at the weekend is pretty much old news! If you haven't checked out the Dane's site yet, do so by following the link on the right. The massive lens on his camera is paying dividends and although its like carrying a small child through the bush, its serving up some top pelagic action!
At the weekend I went to Ku-ring-gai NP, on the northern edge of Sydney, for a bit of a walk with Allan, Jarrod and Adelle to a spot called Taffy's Rock. Taffy was a woman from back in the day who liked to walk a bit and so the local rambling club named a rock after her. Its quite a nice rock.
There was absolutely no wildlife about and the walk entailed crashing through scratchy scrub for 14 kms but the views were lovely and, being winter, you can walk about in the sunshine without feeling utterly miserable in ridiculous heat. Very pleasant.

Hey Iain mate,
How are you? Still way ahead of Jarrod, and, more importantly, Allan in the bird count? How's the job going, any better than Sydney Uni? Still having the big nights out in Newtown? Here in the UK same old same old. Have to talk about the Ashes at work all the time, just like 2 years ago in Australia. I started the blog again, it's still called ...in Sydney, I don't know how to change that. Anyway, I'll be adding photos from sunny England every now and again, depending on how often the sun comes out really...
cheers, Leon
